Another cup win in Qatar - The Al Zubara Cup.

Rassan (Amer X Sandytiki X Burning Sand) a shining example of success of runners out of Burning Sand daughters bred to a variety of stallions.
This is Rassan's 4th cup win this racing season. He was going away in the stretch, with 7 lengths back to the second place finisher.
Rassan is owned by Jassim bin Ali Al Attiya; is trained by Jassim Mohammed Ghazali; and ridden to victory this race by Richard Mullen. Congratulations to all.

TM THUNDER STRUCK winner of the Qatar Gold Sword (G2).

Less than 2 weeks (12 days to be exact) after running a close 2nd in a stellar performance in the Kahayla Classic - he takes the win going 2,000 meters (appx 1 1/4 miles) in the Qatar Gold Sword!
TM THUNDER STRUCK was bred by Todd Moak, is owned by Umm Qarn Farm and Adrie De Vries was in the irons this race for a very exciting finish.

A field of 16 experienced and predominantly male runners competed in the H.H. Sheikh Mohamed bin Khalifa Al Thani Trophy this past Wednesday.
Taraf showed her class and determination, fighting for the win!
Our "home boy" TM Thunder Struck won the previous race -the H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Khalifa Al Thani Cup - to make it a winning "double header" for Burning Sand in Doha.

Recing Recap!

With the phenomenal success of Burning Sand runners across the US, a racing recap is in order!
Within a weeks time, super horse, Burning Sand son, So Big Is Better won 2 graded stakes races – On September 13th, Big was the victor in the G1 Delaware Park Arabian Classic Stakes. This past Saturday at Los Alamitos Race Course in California, So Big Is Better bested the favorite – Paddys Day (Burning Sand X AK Loretta) in the G2 Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan Diamond Jewel. Paddys Day won the $ 150,000 bonus in the Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan Cup US Triple Jewel for most points earned in the three races.
On Sunday, following the big stakes race, Burning Sand daughter Sandicheeks took another win.
Easter Man (Burning Sand X Angel Proof) and Uptown Dannys Boy (Burning Sand X Wibwilcaa) were also in the winners circle at Delaware Park this past week.
Meanwhile in Texas, Sand Lilly (Burning Sand X Tri Tiki Joy) won for owners Joe and Betty Gillis at Retama Park on Saturday night. RB Goliath (Madjani X Bernie Gee PW X Burning Sand) won on Sunday.

Yesterday was a great day for Burning Sand runners! Two wins in Abu Dhabi on the final day of their race meeting.

And in France a win for Gaswa (Amer X Burning Sand X Cath) in the Prix Djouras Tu at Mont-De-Marsan for Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani.
